Iceland Ring Road Trip: Four Dudes in a Van Part 4/5

For Nine Days four dudes had a campervan in Iceland. We took an epic road trip around Iceland’s Ring Road and took homes memories and experiences to last a lifetime. These are the final days of our Iceland Ring Road Trip before returning to the capital city!
Day Six brought us to our first night sleep not in a van or on the ground so far on the trip and it was very welcomed!
We stayed in the 2nd largest city in Iceland which is Akureyri and is on the Northern Tip of Iceland. We stayed in a backpackers hostel due to super cold temperatures. It was a fun city and we had a great time exploring, eating, and running our way through it.
To put things in perspective though its population is 17,304 and it's the 2nd BIGGEST city in Iceland. It's a small town in America.
Our whale watching tour was NON STOP with whale sightings. We followed around about a dozen humpbacks for two hours and were left with memories to last a lifetime.
I can’t remember a second of the actual tour where we didn’t have our eyes on a whale. To see these beautiful and magnificent creatures so close and in the wild was a dream come true! We then embarked on our longest drive of the trip. We chose to get back to the capital to have two nights there instead of just one.
Which was a great idea, however it left us with many view of things like empty benches!
If you head up to the Snaefelness Peninsula from here instead of back to the capital you are in a for a treat but we didn't have the time to make it happen.
Our Road Trip on the Ring Road in Iceland was over! But our trip was NOT.
Apparently we parked our Happy Campers Van in front of a nightclub so it was surrounded by an all night rave :).
