Exploring Yellow Springs and Dayton, Ohio
Did you know Dave Chapelle lives in Ohio? Did you know he lives in a small town 30 minutes west of Columbus called Yellow Springs? Well, now you do! Taking a day trip to explore Yellow Springs and/or Dayton is one of the easiest ways to get out of the city for the day...and you might even catch Dave at one of the town coffee shops or bars!

Take a Hike in John Bryan State Park. Located outside of Yellow Springs, near Clifton is a 752-acre state park with numerous hiking trails. The North Rim Trail overlooking the Clifton Gorge is a personal favorite.

Take in the town of Yellow Springs, including the Yellow Springs Brewery. The town is small enough to walk through in an afternoon, so check out some of the local shops and stop into Yellow Spring Brewery to grab a beer or flight, located right on the Little Miami Bike Trail. Bonus: you might run until Dave Chapelle walking around the town!
Check out Young’s Jersey Dairy, which is a working dairy farm right outside Yellow Springs, perfect for the kids to run around - there's a petting area and barn. Grab a cone or some cheese curds for the ride home!
National Museum of the United States Air Force located in Dayton, Ohio is home to the largest and oldest military aviation memorabilia in the United States. There are over 360 aircraft and missiles on display, including the Memphis Belle, Missiles, Space Shuttle Exhibit and four Presidential Aircrafts used by Presidents Kennedy, Roosevelt, Truman, and Eisenhower (you can even walk through them).
Second Street Market is a farmers market and eatery located in a refurbished railroad depot. The market is only open until 3, so make sure to stop by early in the day!
Hit up some of Dayton’s Breweries on the Ale Trail, including Warped Wing Brewing Company in downtown Dayton for a flight of some of the best brews Dayton has to offer! The tasting room offers tours on Sunday's. For $10, the tour includes the following; A brief history of the brewery and foundry building, full tour of brewhouse and packaging line, draught beer of choice, and commemorative Warped Wing pint glass.
Visit the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop, a National Historical Park, to learn more about the Wright Brothers and how their bicycles began their experimentation into powered human flight.
