Hammock Camping has become all the rage! But there’s a bit more to why I love our ENO Hammock than just for camping purposes. In this article I share an ENO Nest Hammock Gear Review!
If you like to hammock more often than just while camping (unless you are thru-hiking a scenic trail and camp daily) I would TRIPLE recommend this piece of gear.
We have the Double Nest Hammock from Eagle Nest Outfitters with a Bug Net (hello we currently live in Michigan and have lived in Ohio and took this hammock to Alaska!) Of course we got the bug net!
Here are three reasons I recommend the ENO Nest Hammock:
It’s simply more comfortable to me to sleep in a hammock than on the ground. (I love camping and I love the dirt but I wake up more refreshed after sleeping in a hammock.)
Quick dry from the rain and super lightweight to carry around. I have biked with it in a pannier to parks in Seattle and to Alaska, tents are way bulkier. It’s also stayed in great shape and not worn down in the least over the past 15 months.
Everyday use!
This was the big one for me. I was a casual hammock user and then I got a hammock stand where I wasn’t crossing my fingers on finding two beautiful sturdy trees at my campsite or at the park. Now it just sits in the yard. One of us uses this hammock every single day!
Should you buy this, or any, hammock and ride the hammock wave?
Look hammock camping is so HAWT right now it’s silly. Instagram and Tik Tok Influencers are donning them in the most fairytale lands all over the world.
If you are into ultra light camping and maybe braving the weather a bit more than in a tent, this piece of gear is for you.
The big difference maker to me would be is do you have a 10x10 outdoor space that you can set this up for daily use? If that’s a YES then the ENO will make your money back in a month.
If you only use it for perfect non windy, rainy, and bug free weather when you are camping with two sturdy trees at your campsite, you might just stick to watching the influencers and dreaming of doing the same :).
We love this hammock. Weigh the Pro’s and Con’s. Then decide if you want to join the wave!
